Rain didn’t stop our fun! The University Neighborhood Preservation Association (UNPA) and the Barry Park Association hosted the Barry Park Fun Run on Sunday, May 20th. Over 150 children participated in the race and over $800 was donated  for the Barry Park Association, in addition to our sponsors: Ed Smith PTO, Health Pathways, rentfromben and Nottingham Pet Clinic for the Doggie Dash!

Young neighborhood entrepreneurs set up a lemonade stand and raised $40 for flowers & plants for the park.

Plenty of neighbors and families were on hand to cheer on the runners. With these funds we can continue to host events and make park improvements.

UNPA is dedicated to strengthening the collaborative relationship between the University Neighborhood and the other communities of the city of Syracuse. We are thrilled to have this growing event become an annual tradition. Up next is the Thornden Park Aquathon.

Our thanks to all that were a part of the day, from our set-up and clean-up crews, registration volunteers and sponsors. What a great celebration of our awesome neighborhood!
