UNPA Welcomes New Executive Director

UNPA held their Annual Report to the Community on November 19th. The board introduced Maribel Arce as the incoming Executive Director. A University Neighborhood resident since 2011, she has 13 years of leadership experience in international development. Previously to joining UNPA, she was Community Services Director at Community Action Partnership for Madison County. Maribel holds a master’s degree in International Relations from the Maxwell School of Syracuse University and a Bachelor’s in Business from Universidad Católica Boliviana. Currently, Maribel is also a consultant for the Office of Professional Research and Development of Syracuse University’s School of Education. Arce will officially begin December 1st.

The board expressed their gratitude to Rebecca Shaffer Mannion for her 8 years as director and 2 years as a board member.
